Nikki + Weston

Nikki and Weston reside in Seattle, WA but they couldn't resist the hospitable pull of their home state to host their wedding day. The bride just graduated with her veterinarian degree and the picturesque farmland of Traders Point Creamery was the perfect place for the nuptials and celebration. The invitation suite was inspired by both the wildflowers surrounding the farm and the bride's rose gold engagement ring. The invitation - actually, the entire event - was a beautiful mix of elegance and ease. Double-thick letterpress paper, pink twine and full color digital printing made for a stunning collection of elements - and was budget-friendly too! To add a bit of charm to this idyllic landscape, the escort cards were tied to little animals painted rose gold. Those animals directed guests to their table; table numbers weren't numbers at all, but instead were cats, cows, horses, etc.

I'm extremely proud of this wedding because I designed a lot of the elements beyond just the paper. I always play a small role in shaping the decor elements, helping the entire vendor team bring to life the look I've developed with a client on paper. However, for these clients, I participated in tastings and cake design, meetings with the florist and discussions on ceremony flow. I also added a few surprise elements for couple to experience on their wedding day. But hey, I'd do anything for this groom - he's my brother!

Oh - and those two little men peering out the barn window overlooking the milking parlor? Yeah, those handsome devils are mine.
