Kristen + Tim
Kristen + Tim's reception was held at the Historic Union Station is downtown Indianapolis. It was a dream venue for any designer - the Romanesque Revival-style architecture, complete with distinctive arches, columns and terrazzo floors was the ultimate inspiration. The highlight of the room is two 20-foot leaded, stained glass wagon wheel windows and the wedding planner had a dream: replicate these iconic windows on a custom, circular dance floor. This surprise for the guests, paired with the deco treatment of the architecture in the room, became the starting point for their Save the Dates. An image of the window was used for the custom postage and as a seal. The invitation itself was entirely circular. Every piece was diecut into an 8" circle and tucked into a custom folder embossed with the art deco logo I created for them. That logo was made into a frosted glass decal and placed on all the doors surrounding the event space, making that spectacular room all theirs for the evening.
